Bruce Arians is stepping down after three seasons as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' head coach and moving into a front-office role with the organization, the team announced Wednesday night. Arians reportedly informed his staff and players of his decision earlier in the evening and the Bucs finalized a new five year head coaching deal with defensive coordinator Todd Bowles to take over as the teams new head coach.
According to Arians, Tom Brady's stunning decision to unretire played a role in his own decision to to move away from the sideline. Specifically, he wanted Bowles to have the best roster possible and Brady returning allowed that to happen.
