The Kansas City Chiefs are moving on from cornerback Damon Arnette before he even played a game with the team. The Chiefs released Arnette on Saturday after yet another arrest, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Arnette, 25, was arrested Friday and hit with multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon.

The arrest is yet another troubling sign for Arnette, who was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Arnette played in just 13 games with the team before being released in November following a video that showed Arnette with a gun threatening to kill someone. Arnette was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run at the time. He's being sued for the alleged hit-and-run and has another lawsuit pending after an altercation with a Las Vegas valet worker.

Arnette emerged as a standout player with the Ohio State Buckeyes. He had 5 interceptions and 22 passes defended during his time at Ohio State. Arnette was expected to be selected early in the 2020 NFL draft, though our own Eric Edholm believed Arnette was a second-round player. The Raiders used one of the picks acquired in the Khalil Mack trade to draft Arnette.
