The Raiders are rumored to be shopping around starting QB Derek Carr, however news out of Las Vegas says multiple teams have also reached out to the Raiders about their back up QB, former first round pick, Marcus Mariota.

Following one season as a backup with the Raiders and one very impressive showing in relief of Carr, Marcus Mariota is drawing trade suitors, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday.

"Marcus Mariota is getting some trade interest, as well," Rapoport said Tuesday on NFL NOW. "There's legitimate and real interest in Mariota."

As the quarterback carousel has already begun spinning with the Detroit Lions-Los Angeles Rams' impending swap of Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff, Rapoport reported Sunday that teams were of the belief that the Raiders were open to trading Carr or Mariota.

Rumors are that while the Raiders have no ignored offers for Mariota it would seem they would prefer to keep him and deal Carr.

Some believe that of the two QBs Mariota has a much higher ceiling. The 27-year-old Mariota played in only one game for the Raiders, a 30-27 Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. But Mariota in relief of an injured Carr and looked great. He was 17 for 28 for 226 yards and a touchdown and on top of that added 88 yards and a touchdown from nine rushes.

That performance, seemingly, has led some in the NFL to believe, that in the right position he could thrive and show the talent that made him the number two pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
